  • A multivariate statistical framework for connecting omics data with clinical end-points (from Aug 2014)

My Bachelor's and Master's degrees were in Software Engineering and Computer Science from the Tsinghua University in China. I then obtained my PhD degree in designing algorithms for the genome assembly problem from the National University of Singapore in 2014.

Following that, I joined the Mãkinen lab at SAHMRI as a post-doctoral researcher. My current research includes developing R packages for analysing biological data, testing relationships between the lysosomal system and late-onset Alzheimer's disease, detecting key genes in late-onset Alzheimer's disease and designing a novel algorithm for discovering a set of single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) correlated with given phenotypes.
