About Canberra
Trading hours in Canberra vary. Most entertainment and restaurant venues have extended trading hours on Friday, unlike other major cities, which have extended trading hours from Thursday.
There is plenty to do over the weekend, and encourage you to explore. There is a large entertainment precinct, filled with great restaurants, an arcade, bowling alley, etc. There are also some lovely nature and cultural sites to visit.
