Stay tuned for 2026 opportunities.

In 2025, the 10th EMBL Australia PhD Course brought together more than 60 high-achieving PhD students from diverse research fields across Australia, giving them a head start in their scientific careers.

This unique two-week residential course featured scientific masterclasses led by Australia’s foremost researchers, hands-on learning opportunities, and professional skill development – ensuring the next generation of researchers is set up for success.

The 2025 course was co-hosted in Adelaide, in collaboration with the South Australian Immunogenomics Cancer Institute (SAiGENCI). The program centred on future-ready research skills, including interdisciplinary research, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).
