    The mystery of what causes Alzheimer’s disease is a step closer to being solved thanks to an EMBL Australia group leader and his team, who have revealed a genetic link between Alzheimer’s and the endo-lysosomal system, a critical part of biological recycling machinery that maintains the health of brain cells.

  • Our ACT Node has officially launched

    The Australian National University has joined our Partner Laboratory Network as our first host institute in the ACT.

    Chief Scientist Dr Alan Finkel, EMBL Director General Prof Iain Mattaj and EMBL Australia Scientific Head Prof James Whisstock were some of the esteemed speakers to present at the node launch event on 14 June.
