Andrew, who is the Director, EMBL Australia Bioinformatics Resource, presented in Barcelona from 7-10 March 2016, at the second ELIXIR All Hands meeting on

the Australian scene and experiences with using the Genomics Virtual Laboratory on the cloud. ELIXIR is an EMBL initiative which is delivering a distributed infrastructure for life science information.

This meeting is most important as it brings together members of the ELIXIR community from across the ELIXIR Nodes, and collaborators from partner organisations, in order to review ELIXIR achievements and activities and to discuss plans for the future. Andrew attended at the invitation of ELIXIR Director Dr Niklas Blomberg, who visited Australia late last year. For more information on Niklas Blomberg and his visit to Australia see the EMBL November 2015 newsletter.
