Excellent science cannot be achieved in isolation. To solve the big questions in life sciences and biomedicine and anticipate the challenges of tomorrow, we need more sophisticated technology and researchers from different backgrounds and countries working together to address these issues. The European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) recognises these challenges and believes that it is possible to contribute to the development of ambitious cutting-edge scientific projects only through such shared efforts.
Hosted by EMBL Australia and Monash BDI, Prof Mattaj will address EMBL’s role and contribution in developing new research methods and tools to ultimately tackle global societal challenges. Monash BDI Director Professor John Carroll will lead a Q&A discussion on the importance of organisations, such as EMBL, in advancing biomedical research.
