EMBL Australia group leader Mikaël Martino has co-founded protein-engineering company Orio Therapeutics.

On a recent visit to EMBL Heidelberg, Ian Smith, Chair of the EMBL Australia Council, spoke about the synergies between EMBL and EMBL Australia, opportunities for collaboration and ideas for exciting future programs.

Dr Qi Zhang will commence in December as the first EMBL Australia Group Leader to be based at the South Australian immunoGENomics Cancer Institute (SAiGENCI), Adelaide.
